A special investigation team (SIT) from the Giridih police has apprehended a 21-year-old individual who issued threats against two ministers from Jharkhand in a video. The suspect, Ankit Kumar Mishra, a resident of Rajendra Nagar in the Giridih Muffasil area, was arrested in Patna.
Mishra claimed in the video that he had connections with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. According to Giridih Superintendent of Police (SP) Bimal Kumar, the video surfaced on social media on Wednesday, where Mishra threatened to kill Urban Development Minister and Giridih MLA Sudivya Kumar Sonu, along with Health Minister Irfan Ansari, within 24 hours.
Kumar stated that following a complaint lodged by a local resident, the SIT was formed. Utilizing technical and intelligence information, the team successfully captured the accused in Patna, Bihar.
He further clarified that Mishra does not have any ties to organized crime but has previously been incarcerated for minor offenses. The police indicated that charges of making threats and causing public unrest would be filed against him.
